It matters to the team, so they can say we have x amount of players in the Hall.
I guess the question is how many players do the Colts claim right now?

If I go by the Pro Football of Fame website they list Richard Dent as a player. There may be some explanations, about majority of career, equal, or minority of career, I’ve just never heard about teams claiming how many “true” hall of famers they had except maybe specific seasons or groups, the late 1970’s Steelers, the 1980s 49ers.

Do the Colts claim Eric Dickerson as a former player in the Hall of Fame?. I’m sure the Rams do.

By the way, also from Hall of Fame site : here is the list of Seattle Seahawks in the Hall of Fame, all 7 of them. I’m sure Wilkie will remind us yes Carl Eller, Franco Harris, Warren Moon, John Randle, and Jerry Rice are the first names you think of discussing the history of the Seahawks.

I'm a Bear fan, but I got watching the Colts whenever I could because Manning was so much fun to watch. But as an Iowa guy, it was really fun when Sanders and Clark joined the Colts, two of my all time favorite Hawkeyes. Then came AJ Edds and Kent Angerer. Pure joy. A little less joy in Mudville now.
