WILMINGTON, Del. — Major chemical company DuPont has announced plans to cut its work force by about 4,000 jobs.
DuPont says it will also reduce its contract personnel by about 1300 and shut down "less competitive manufacturing assets."
a major $$$ sponsorship of a public type for a product that really doesn't sell to the general public, would not seem as important than saving dollars for a troubled company...

also, with Dale Sr. now gone, could the Goodwrench people be looking for a new high-profile star to take over as their spokesman, and who better then Jeff Gordoo!!

Nah, everybody's cutting jobs right now, paring down to compete again. I don't think Dupont is ready to throw away one of the most recognizable sponsorships in sports.
