Jimmy Spencer to "Cheeps" team in 2002?....

That's the hottest rumor coming out of NASCAR land right now but who would he replace or would "Cheep" run a third team? My guess is that he will replace one of "Cheeps" current drivers and land a big sponcer agreement, but which one of Ganassi's current drivers will get the boot?

Leffler would be the one most likely to be replaced. Marlin has done a very good job this year and it would be a crime to replace him, the man who gave the new Dodge their first win. I expect Chip might opt for a third team if he can find a sponsor.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Chip has talked to Spencer about replacing Leffler in 2002. I think Jimmy also has an eye on that suddenly available #12 also. . .

I'm also hearing that Joe Nemechek will move to the #26 for next year and drive as a teammate for Bodine. So much for that consistency thing for WC!!

I think Mayfield is the best choice to drive the #01.
