    Did anyone catch the statement....

PLAYERS may not be back next year during the LBGP broadcast? Was that the team or sponsor? What gives?

Does that mean they can't even finish this year?

Maybe they can start making a stop-smoking chewing gum before the end of the year.
If it doesn't have wings... It isn't worth talking about!

Well, that is a Canadian law so, presumably they'll be able to sponsor the team in races outside Canada. I also assume this means this will not effect the races carried on Canadian TV after the ban.

In a story at some point last year, there were rumors that team was close to replacing Players with Pizza Hut Canada. Haven't heard anything more, however.

Players will run until the end of the season, and that is the end of the historic Players name in champcars. It really is a shame.

Players owns half of the Players-Forsythe operation, and doesnt have any intention of selling it (they are some of the biggest champcar fans i have ever seen). Players has even told its crew members that even if no other sponsor could be found, its no big deal, because Players will fund it out of pocket. Thats a pretty big commitment, from some pretty big CART fans.

Luckily, i have heard that several different Canadian title sponsors have already been lined up for the 2004 TWO CAR team.

What's the story on Tagliani? Does he have a one-year deal or is P-F going to carry him again next year?

I believe 2003 is the last year on his contract...

I wonder where good old Paul Tracy will be, in what team? I'm sure N/H racing will take him back. Since he will most likely win every race this year or pretty close. I'm just hoping some others will win soon. We need some good battles on the track. I'm voting for Michel, he is getting close to a victory. All he needs is Lady Luck on his side, and he'll get it(a win).Let's Go Boys!!!!!Race like you have a pair!!!!!!!
