Paradoxically Sublime

"Each day well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well therefore to this one day for it, and it alone, is life"

Thanks for the reminder, Turn.
Like many on this forum, I was fortunate enough to be a fan during Eddie’s heyday and wish younger fans could have have had the benefit of enjoying Eddie’s gregariousness and humor. Once, during a rain delay at Trenton they let him take the PA microphone and roam the pit lane interviewing drivers, crew members, officials. I don’t think Letterman or Leno could have done it better. He was hilarious. And of course as we all know, Eddie wasn’t just all talk He had the right foot to back up that, and I say this with all affection, big mouth.
5/30/64 was indeed a sad, sad day for all of racing.
