My Friends-
I heartily agree with this post. We should not start a war with NASCAR fans NOR make fun of them. And we should not start a war with Liechtenstein nor make fun of gay rodeo clowns that dress like butterflies.![]()

I'm watching the race. They sure have a lot of cool graphics. I think this race is entertaining, and I encourage all the NASCAR fans to check out the next IRL race. Try it, you might enjoy it.

Glad to see a moderator saw fit to delete my earlier post, only the Lord knows how much lower this topic could have sunk with my statements. Here is a suggestion to keeping a topic from becoming a flame war. The next time someone wants to make amends or call a truce with NASCAR, don't spend three longwinded paragraphs slamming CART. Apparently the moderator was fooled yet again by this slight of hand technique.

Maybe they just don't see everything. I know they're short-handed today (plus, they may be watching the race themselves)![]()
Badger, if you're referring to Doc's post, I despise his posts almost as much as RiverRunners. But, as long as they fit the User Agreement, they stay. In fact, even if they don't, but there are good reasonable responses to them, I still leave them sometimes.
And this ALL belongs in Feedback.
Dizzybill's advice has gone unheeded. Despite the fact that NASCAR just put on a very good race, two threads have popped up about how bad NASCAR is. Another thread about how good the race was is being invaded and turned into a NASCAR-bashing parade. What's really double-standarded is that one main complaint is about NASCAR's debris yellow.

Have a very blessed day!
Well dizzybill, have you ever heard the old saying "too little, too late?" While your intent may be good, your "a day late, and a dollar short." I am, and have been a diehard NASCAR fan for over 43 years, and all I have ever heard from you open-wheel types are insults, bashes, and attacks against NASCAR, our drivers, teams, and especially our fans. Not only that, but you have constantly insulted not only our prefered form of racing, but also us, personally, continually bashing where we're from, e.g. the South, the way we talk, our education (or as you people claim, lack of). I'm sick and tired of NASCAR having to carry your series on it's back by the forcing of our fans to have buy your tickets in order to get our tickets for Winston Cup races at some tracks. This bashing has been the case long before either of the two splits, way back to the USAC days, but it has continued, and accelerated since both splits. While the cart types are easily the most arrogant, hateful, asinine, and insulting, your series fans has made great strides in catching up with them for the same type of behavior, to a point that now I can tell absolutly no difference between the two! I hate both of your series, and hope for the death of both! You people hope for us to attend your events, nope, NOT ONLY NO, BUT **** NO! You may very well need us, but we don't need you! The funny thing is that I told both you and the cart types this same thing several years ago, (before this forum was formed) that you should not be so critical, insulting, bash, or make fun of us. What did you do? You laughed at me, and increased your insults, your bashing, and your attacks! I am one of a growing number of NASCAR fans that have, long ago, grown sick and tired of the crap that you open-wheel types have been spouting, and shoveling at us for years, and I have news for you, we aren't taking it anymore! Your about 50 years too late in offering the Olive branch to us! You open-wheel types have not ever been able to do anything but bash, insult and attack us, and I have news for you, "Zebras don't change their stripes!" You will continue to do the same as you always have, insult, bash and attack us, that is all you open-wheel types know! Here's another news flash, we outnumber you by a substancial margin! We're like the "slumbering giant" that Admiral Yamamoto spoke of, you have "awaken us and filled us with a terrible resolve!" We did not start this war, but by God, we're going to finish it! DEATH TO OPEN-WHEEL RACING! You people have got your war, I hope your happy!![]()
Interesting- except for Doc's two posts, it seems almost everyone agrees with dizzy bill. Then comes Lee
Moving to Feedback as promised.
Feel free to send me a pm and explain what was so disinteresting. I will try to leave that part out next time.Originally posted by doitagain:

"Is that my *** that I smell burning?" ... Helmet Stogie from "Death spasms of the Mabuchi"
And I didn't mean for the last post to sound confrontational. If you dispise my posts, send me a pm and I will work on the areas that are not to the mods liking.
In fact, I have alot of things I would like to propose for the sportscar forum, if you are interested.
Here's a link to the kind of threads I'de like to see here........

Actually, this is a better representation of what I would like to participate in.....

Yeah, you know what I like about those? It's fans enjoying mutual interests, and no "death to CART" or "NASCAR sucks" or "IRL fans are gomers". Each one of those types of posts inevitably leads to the other, and none of them do a **** thing for race fans in general.
Yeah, well I want to do those kinds of featues here, but I need a provision to post pictures without the need for a URL or whatever. First, my computer skills stink, and secondly, I have gigs and gigs and GIGS of the stuff I can put up, not including my own model collection which has pushed past the 500 mark. A small web site won't hold it all. And I have neither the skill nor patience to maintain it.
I suggest a provision for small (400 X 400) pictures.
I you can accomodate that, I'll stick up more interesting sportscar stuff than you can imagine, AND I will get my friends from another big sportscar site to come here. AND I can possibly get one of the great minds of internet sportscar moderating to come take the gig.
I pitched the idea to another moderator here, but no reply as of yet. If the sportscar forum is satisfactory the way it is, tell me and that will be the end of it.
