    Defender, "11" thread?

Defender, didnt you post a thread of "11's" after the WTC attacks? If I remember right it was "By the numbers?"

I thought it was over at sewer net, did the search there and here but couldnt find it. (that place is worse than ever. what did YOU DO to it?

If it isnt to difficult, could you point out where it is, or post it again? Please?

    Thanks.

    It was at Sewer Net.

It quickly went to crap, courtesy of our infant buddies. I'd like to see that one again, too, Defender.

The "11" thing was interesting, but, again, it was just a coincidence.

For example, I found that my parents, my three sisters, my brother, and I all have 11 letters in our names (first name plus surname)! My sisters were not born with 11 letters, but they all happened to marry into 11 letters. That's seven people, and it doesn't even include in-laws, spouses and nieces, several of whom are also "11s".

You can find a number anywhere if you try hard enough.

My nephew showed to me last week when I was at my sister's house, I will email him and see if he still has it, and will post it here if he does.

    Be glad to oblige:

    The date of the attack: 9/11 - 9 + 1 + 1 = 11

    September 11th is the 254th day of the year: 2 + 5 + 4 = 11

After September 11th there are 111 days left to the end of the year.

    119 is the area code to Iraq/Iran. 1 + 1 + 9 = 11

Twin Towers - standing side by side, looks like the number 11

The first plane to hit the towers was Flight 11

State of New York - The 11 State added to the Union

New York City - 11 Letters

    Afghanistan - 11 Letters

    The Pentagon - 11 Letters

Ramzi Yousef - 11 Letters (convicted or orchestrating
the attack on the WTC in 1993)

    Flight 11 - 92 on board - 9 + 2 = 11

    Flight 77 - 65 on board - 6 + 5 = 11

As for a once great newspaper and their forum, several have asked what happened to the Hooter character.

He is semi-retired for two reasons:

    1. Someone at the newspaper has seen to it that the Hooter character is banned in any way, shape or form. This person(s) will not return repeated requests for an explanation. Each time a new identity surfaces, it is banned very quickly.

    2. A few children thought it would be cool to post the real names of some contributors and where they worked. I don't know about you, but I only reveal my identity to selected fellow racing fans. Zen and MichaelP, for example, with whom I got to say 'hello' at the track this weekend.

At any rate, one of the children decided to foolishly contact my employer to inform said employer that I was posting while working. We got a pretty hearty laugh out of that one, but such behavior just goes to show how depraved some people can be.

Valuable contributors such as Truth Detector and myself simply decided to give it a break.

I have noticed that sewernet has now begun hiding IP information (how quaint)...but the six or seven misfits who ruined it for everyone are still mighty proud.

BTW...the 'Matt' who was causing problems at sewagenet is NOT the Matt we respect here...the guy who shares information, pictures and insight with us.

I also noticed that Speedvision has taken their boards down because misfits ruined that as well.

That's why I like it here. Moderation and quite a few intelligent fans. Thanks, TF, for being so professional.

Defender, you've obviously noticed the mass exodus from Speednet in the last week. Pretty sad. Take away the drivel started by Stumpy, and there are only a half-dozen threads active on any given day. Sad - I remember when I started, there would be more than a page of active threads each day. As I predicted in my obit post, the fanatical children are showing everyone how little they really have to say.

BTW - I don't particularly miss the "Hooter" character...

Much like the old Speedvision site.

They now have as many forum contributors as they do viewers.
