I guess you misunderstood what I meant by "high" and I misunderstood what you meant by "good".

So it a fritter or not?

I don't consider it a fritter but that's just my opinion. It's an above average loin that gets it's critics because some tout it as the best in town and it's not even close to that.

It's a step above fritter but more fritter-like than they use to be.

I believe I can make it, what time?!
My first Indy 500 was 1973, haven't missed one since 1981. To date I have attended 35 Indy 500's, and probably 100 or so other IndyCar races (CART & IRL).

I took a picture with my iPhone as my plate was served, unfortunately the picture was kinda dark & a little fuzzy. It wasn't any different in appearance though than the one I posted a couple pages back. It was huge & delicious, as usual...really not too much more I can add to that. I had to take a knife and cut the tenderloin into several bites first because it hung so far out of the bun on all sides. Was pleasantly surprised to see 'ovals rule' join TD & I for lunch, and we had great conversation with lunch. You missed out PHJ, wish you could have joined us. And though both Eric & I tried, TD insisted on buying. Thanks again Scott!

No sweat, irf. It was great seeing you & ovals again. PHJ, you were definitely missed but there was no shortage of talking going on.

Thank God I get long lunch breaks. Not sure about ovals, though. I heard his boss is a jerk.

Still up in the air at this point. Saturdays are tough anymore, but I'm wondering about Carb Day. If I do, I figure I know where to find you!

    Tenderloin: Delicious and very big.

Mrs. TD made dinner and I'm still too stuffed to eat. Eight hours after eating the loin.

You guys made me so loin hungry that we stopped by Dawson's on our way to Church and had another one of their tasty offerings!
I hope to get to Henry C's sometime in the near future.

When I'm home and I'm able to get at a tenderloin it normally tends to be my meal for the day...

After 12 days of vacation with Mrs. Numb I have a tenderloin.

I went to Mug N' Bun today for the first time.

    The root beer was B-
    The "BTL" was D
    The onion rings were A+

Been in Indy for two full days and haven't had a tenderloin... Went to Gray Bros. today for lunch but the Tenderloin wasn't on their menu... Green Street in Brownsburg tomorrow for my first visit should do the trick.

My Mom who use to rave about the tenderloin at Mug n Bun went two weeks ago and called me in Florida to complain that they were serving a Fritter. I don't know what they were thinking... I can tell you she's one 80-something nobody wants on their bad side.

That was my experience - but I'd bump the Root Beer up to an A-.

You will be very happy with the Green Street loin.

The loin is what it is but I can't imagine not liking the RB.
