I guess in Germany a Tenderloin would be a Schnitzel.

"My favorite time of the day at the Speedway during the month of May was just after dusk, after the track had closed down for day, I used to go out and sit on the pit wall and just listen and think"~ Dick Ralstin
The schnitzel is the father of the breaded pork tenderloin. The schnitzel started as veal and was never served as a sandwich. Americans just adopted more readily available pork and habits of putting anything between bread. Nick's Kitchen in 1908 started out calling them veal sandwiches. I don't know if they were truly veal or pork from the beginning.

Many believe the Sammich food group to be the most important of the food groups.

Note the tomato and bun to the left in the photo. It's a large tomato on-top of a regular size bun to put into perspective the size of the tenderloin. And it's even better tasting than it looks.

My first Indy 500 was 1973, haven't missed one since 1981. To date I have attended 35 Indy 500's, and probably 100 or so other IndyCar races (CART & IRL).
I sure wish I could find a tenderloin in Denver.
sigh
All rides are bought. But occasionally the currency is talent.
The closest I've had was here:
Mangy Moose Saloon
Highway 230
Riverside, Wyoming
This place might have one:

I am the guy who tries the weirdest thing on the menu, and I especially like trying local specialties... Life is too short to limit yourself by not trying new things.
Me neither... I can still remember the warm summer's day in `56 when Dad pulled up to one of the stands at the Pole and said I was finally old enough to have a man's sammich... a tenderloin.
The Jews they've got their Bar Mitzfits and the Injuns have their walk through the wilderness in the quest for manhood... our family had a different ritual. 5 was a little young but by 5 Davey Crockett was killin' bears.
I admit I'm a bit too lazy to look it up in 117 pages, but has anyone mentioned Hampton's Market here in the Center Grove area of Greenwood? I just finished one of those and damn they are flippin' awesome. TD maybe?
That was one of my sides! LOL Hey, TD those pics look awesome of the loins. Center Grove Cafe? Where? I gots to know! Also, Louie's has a damn good tenderloin too. I gotta go to Harry C's. That's near where my girlfriend lives and she loves the Hampton's tenderloins as well, but only eats half of it and saves the rest for lunch.
Harry C's is one of the best local loins but since they closed the one in Greenwood I haven't had one. I don't think I've had Louie's loin. Gotta try it. CG Cafe is behind Chicago's Pizza in Bargersville. Owned by a couple of friends of mine. The owner who's there most is JR Wheeler. Great guy.
Indiana is not known for its Tenderloins.
(Could have fooled me.)
And Rhode Islanders, please, what the hell is coffee milk?

I guess we can thank Orville for that...
BTW the full sized link is harder to read than the smaller one you have on display in your post.
So what is that in Oregon... I remember a lot of talk about Oregon Blueberries when I live out there is that some kind of nut?
Also what is the food for Nevada... the all you can eat buffet??
I'm almost afraid to ask about Arizona... cause it looks like an adobe pizza.
Wow... I did not know that there were that many Strippers in Michigan or that pasties were edible.
We had some pretty good tenderloins at Dooley O'Tooles in Carmel, IN just before Christmas.

To this day I don't care for a lot of 'junk' on my pizza's either, mainly just pepperoni and sausage. However if it's entirely up to me when ordering I'll go plain cheese every time! Vanilla ice-cream is my favorite too! Seems TD Jr. and myself have a lot in common...just make sure he goes to college and doesn't become a carpenter!![]()
