    OT-Letterman kudos . . .

Any that missed Lettermans return to the airwaves lst nite missed the most heartfelt, sobering and yet inspirational commentary since the tragedy.

Clearly fighting for the proper words and yet visibly at the edge of control of his emotions, as another person posted elsewhere, Letterman inspired both tears and cheers at the same time.

Followed up with an emotional Dan Rather and the perfectly selected Regis who was both funny and serious both.

    Heartfelt thanks David . . .

That was a fantastic show last night.

You could tell that both Dave and Dan Rather were speaking from the heart.

I missed it but I want some comedy cause I want to laugh and smile not be bored or poder while watching the show. Please bring back the jokes now!!!! In order for us to get better we need someone to make us laugh and laughing and smiling makes us feel better. I know that for a fact. I have had a pretty bad life since Summer of 1996. And we need tat comedy in our lives. They didn't stop comedy when the other bombings in America did they? Cause I don't remember them stopping it then so why are they stopping it now.

Yeah, it's always encouraging to see someone like Dan get patriot religion.

    moving stuff indeed.

dan rather is a journalist in the truest sense of the word.
since getting joslted on the floor of the 68 democratic convention in chicago till last week , when he told us he'd rather be last with the story and get it right, than get it wrong.

    cnn could have tried that.
    It's a brand new day.

since I completely ignored the gary condit crap as being completely irrelevent to real life, I don't know what you're talking about.

maybe if the media was doing a investigative report on airline security and our vulnerability to terrorist attack some lives could have been saved.

you know. something we expect the media to do.
