HARF [Hoosier Auto Race Fans] voted their Driver of the Year for the 2001 season. With 16 wins in Open Wheel cars over the season Tracy Hines won the title over Sam Hornish of the IRL and will recieve his award at the HARF 50th Anniversary banquet on January 27th. MOST IMPROVED DRIVER was a tough choice with Kokomo Champion A.J. Anderson getting the final nod. The Marvel Rookie of the Year award will go to Andy Pierce. Mechanical Achievment to Dynamite Chassia's Danny Williams Jr. 1st Year Driver goes to 17 year old Michael Burthay. Media Award to John Mahoney. Gene Powlen Award to Jamie Marvel. The HARF Sportsmanship award went to Blake & Shane Hollingsworth for their support of racing and their helping of other at the tracks on and off.
