    General game system question

    What do I get? Xbox or PS2? I don't have one now, so I would be starting from scratch. Any ideas?

    PS2=more games. Lots more.

    XBox=better technical capabilities.

    Xbox has Halo. That in itself is worth the price of the machine. Best game ever, imo. Especially when you link 4 xboxes and play 16 people in Halo.

    Many new games are on the way. Also, xbox live is generally reported as superior to PS2's online gaming system.

    Just my opinion.

    I have a PS2 collecting dust under the TV. A friend has an X-Box. I think the X-Box is a better choice. I've heard that you can crack open an X-Box and do lots of neat tricks to it like adding a hard drive that has complete games loaded onto it. Don't know much about science book, that's just what I heard.

    It's all about the games.

    Buy the one that has the games you're after. If you can't play the games you really want, you wasted your money.

    If you aren't that choosy about the games, the Xbox is a superior machine for the money.

    PS2 has a much larger catalog of games.

    If your buying and want a bunch of games for younger kids get PS2. If you want the better quality then Xbox is the way to go.

    Snakepit is right about HALO we have 4 guys here at the office all with Xboxes and we will system link over the internet and paly and it is possibly the best game I have ever played. Even my wife who doesn't really like video games has gotten into it.

    Guy, you can mod your xbox so that you can copy full games to your hard drive hence not needing to actually buy the game. It is technically illegal but I have known a few guys that have done it and it works. And no I am have not.

    Is it May yet ?

    thanks for the input guys.

    I got the xbox today. But, EB games was sold out of the Indycar game.

    Looks like I will end up waiting till it comes out on PC after all. But i will have to go rent Halo or something and check it out. Then maybe buy it!
