book on Mario

Was in a library this weekend (private school) and in the elementary section they had a book on Mario written about 1977 or 78, before he won the F1 championship.

They had a nice big photo of what was described as "AJ Foyt at speed on the mainstretch".

I looked closely and sure enough, it was his car, a backup, #1 but the driver had a white helmet. I looked closer and yes, it said "Janet".

It was the day AJ turned over a backup to her and she went out and put up some good speeds, shutting up the old farts who were laughing at her futile attempts in Rolla's old machine.

So other than the fact it was Janet on the short shute coming out of the pits, they had everything else right!

I was at the track the day this happened, was quite a buzz.

I will look at it again next sunday. It was written for a kid, but had some good photos.
