I love this forum.
Now all one has to do is flip back and forth between two threads to check out all the spin.
Here's a hint racefans:
Openwheel racing in America is dead.
Nobody cares.

Proud to be a complainer.
It's nice going to a place where everybody knows your name.Originally posted by Railbird I love this forum.
I wouldn't say it's dead. It just has crappy fans that won't support both series. The fans split themselves. All they had to do was refuse to take a side. Then again, what fun is that?

It's sad to say but....we were FORCED to take sides in this issue. We're ALL very passionate in our beliefs as well so that makes this board VERY interesting. The flaming part is what takes the fun out of it sometimes but you get some very interesting takes.
One thing we can ALL agree on's the fact that we ALL love Open Wheel Racing. If we could ALL come together again and let bygones be bygones we could actually come close to catching NASCAR in popularity (in a couple of years) Divide and conquer people!!! As long as NASCAR has us fighting amongst ourselves, their popularity just grows and grows and grows!![]()

But that's just my opinion!
I follow and attend both series.
Never did figure out what was so hard about that.
No one is forcing anyone to turn either series off.Originally posted by jetdoc

I don't think we need to do any orgainized coming together. There is so much bad blood that no one will let go of. You think any of the crapwagoneers will ever let it go? As long as there is a split, there's going to be the 12 year olds who want to perpetuate the hostilities. People inside the sport were over it along time ago.If we could ALL come together again and let bygones be bygones we could actually come close to catching NASCAR in opularity
I think all we need to do is go to the races and everything will take care of itself. All the internet posturing in the world won't change the first single thing. I've gotten a few people to change their minds and give the IRL a chance, but look how much I write and how little difference it makes. Generally, all of this is a waste if you take the entertainment factor out of it. I write for my own amuzement rather than thinking I am going to singlehandedly end "the war." If some people like it, that's a jolly good bonus.
If they don't, it's for my amuzement anyway. Use the ignore feature.
We aren't making any difference outside of what we do or don't pay for our tickets. Robin won't even return my PMs.
Yes, we are divided and losing, but I don't understand how it is nascar that has us fighting. you are going to have to explain that one to me.Divide and conquer people!!! As long as NASCAR has us fighting amongst ourselves, their popularity just grows and grows and grows!
