    Budweiser to Williams

Budweiser announces $81 Million five year deal with Williams BMW. Sure hate to see this money go to F-1, but Bud is intent on increasing sales in Europe. Only goes to prove the money is there if the right demographics are present.

I've always had respect for the label because of the way they stepped up and sponsored the Dago Red P51, Miss Budweiser & other forms of "unlimited" motor sports competition. I don't know what amount the sponsership is for these, but I'm sure the TV exposure doesn't warrant it. I suppose spending $16 million per year in F1 just fits the profile.

But in terms of TV exposure, the backing they give Bernstein (NHRA) and DEI (NASCAR) is a real bargain compared to the above.

Maybe cold beer will become a fad in europe.

Maybe its to pay for Jeff Gordon's contract when he goes to F1. Hey, it could happen, and remember, you heard it hear first.
    It's a Hoosier thing, you wouldn't understand...
