    Allard Group C car.

I had seen a few pics of this car but it is too bad that Group C imploded before this car got some serious track time.

That is one mean looking car. It looks like some kind of OW car with fenders and a roof. Is there a link to more info?

It's for sale if you want it. Only $235k and that includes a brand new Cosworth DFR.

I tried to dig up more info but all I know is that it was built in 1992 to the new 3.5 litre atmo Group C rules. There was only one built and as far as I know it never raced.

You know there is not much on it when even google has a hard time pulling anything up on it.

I think the car raced at Laguna Seca in IMSA but it was not that quick.

I think you're correct Badger. I do remember the car racing once here in the states before Group C imploded.

I think the correct word for Group C's demise is "sabatoged."

If you look hard t the Allard, there appears to be alot of forward thinking. The bodywork is wrapped extremely tightly and the car also features a raised nose. The first raised nose we saw on an F-1 car was the 1992 Williams (I believe), so whomever designed this thing was on the cutting edge and maybe a little ahead of it.

I have a picture of the car in Momo colors, but I am pretty sure that was only for some press cionference and was never seen that way again.

also, if you look really close, the car looks alot like the old Classic Astro Vee.

I was trying to be polite Doc. I raced (not well mind you) slot cars with a bunch of racing buddies from 92-95, a five month Group C Championship every year, I had Silver Arrows and Jags during that time. Was signed by the champion team for 96 until this series too imploded/was sabotaged to oblivion. The guy who owned two of the tracks, he had a huge basement, including a fairly decent scale version of Mid-Ohio, lost the house and the tracks to his wife in a divorce settlement. End of series... the hag.
