By far...my first choice would be the fine former Indy 500 driver Bob Christie, who was known as "Cave Man", because he was a guide in the caves in Grants Pass,Oregon. He drove in the days before the two way radio, but could you hear a spotter saying..."The Cave Man is on your back bumnper" !![]()

hey, on the other thread i started, "Boom Boom" was my favorite as well. i think it was because when we were little my brother couldn't say motorcycle, instead he called it a "boomcockle".

Yes! The "Mad Russian"! Loved that guy. How about "Preacher"? So many "Wild Bill's", "Iron Mike's", "Dutch" "Little" was for quite a few drivers. Same for "Smoothie" and "Big"
Also, "The Hippie" and "The King" - two of them. "Slammin' Sammy" "Wild Child"
Funny how there are not many nick names in NASCAR, isn't it? Guess car # 8, car # 24, car # 12, etc have taken nick names from the drivers????????
