    The Herdez response

    My take

Just a guess but Herdez owns the team now and, like Players, they are basically stuck with it. They'll drop sponsorship and quietly entertain offers. In the meantime, the team has contracts with drivers and sponsors they intend to honor IF more sponsorship can be found. Tough assignment.

You figured that out by reading the translation????????

Everytime I thought I started a coherent sentence, I would lose it.

being a native speaker i can tell you that the article states that although Herdez will not sponsor the cars next year, the Team (Dominguez) will remain in Champ Car. It was written I suppose before IRL/OWRS shelved reunification rumors, as the article states that Dominguez would have a seat in a unified series, but then goes on to stress that if no unification takes place, Dominguez would remain in Champ Car.

A single car team? So Hunter Reay would be out, I presume?

Does it seem to anyone else that almost everything associated with OWRS is unraveling?

My guess is that the team has a contract with Mario and will try to continue. Assuming they raise enough money to field his car, they will then hope that RHR can raise enough money of his own to fund that second car. Tall order on both sides.

    True.

I bet Dominguez could do it.

Hunter-Reay might have a harder time.

One thread at a time but it is without any doubt unraveling.
