Anybody want to hazard a guess on why they are dominant?

One story I heard from the Toyota side is that they have an illegal fuel injection system which Toyota has decided to copy rather than protest.
Credible?
Sour grapes?
I have no way of knowing.....
That's the third explanation I have heard. Thus far my list includes:
1) Special plenum,
2) Hondas have smaller ports more suited to the 3.0,
3) Illegal Fuel Injection system.
Therer was an old saying in bike rac ing:
"Honda spends, Honda wins."
Bob
I'm sure their checks to Ilmor are massive, but Toyota reputedly isn't doing this on a budget plan either........
MHO with nothing to back it up is that they took a page from Ryan Newmans run last year and figured out how to maintain more speed through the corners. By maintaining the momentum they start to pull away comming out of the corners and by the time the Toyotas and Chevy's get wound back up they are back into another corner. Of course you still have to have the setup right and the ba!!s to drive.
By the time you finish reading this you realize that you have wasted 5 seconds of your life.
He who cheats best, wins.
The transformation is complete. The Indy 500 is the only IndyCar race that matters.
It's not cheating if you don't get caught. I like to use the term technical innovation.
You can't chase the American Dream in a hard-top!
I agree 100%.Originally posted by Mav-1
