    Most lines I've seen so far have New England -3 with an o/u of 35.
    Philly looks to be favored by 5 with a 37 o/u.

    Gotta love the Eagles by 5. I'm not interested in the "Vick is a wild card" or "Philly can't win the big one" arguments. This Philly versus Atlanta. Not Philly vs. The Past.

    It's not like the ATL has played any serious defensive teams lately. The Rams? New Orleans? Philadelphia will be the stingiest team they have met in a long time.

    To echo rex, here's what Czabe had to say today;

    The Eagles had the 2nd ranked SCORING defense this year, and that was with two “bye” weeks where they let second stringers get sweaty at the end of the year and gave up 58 points. I looked up four games of the Falcons this year, which were indicative of how you stymie Vick. And believe it or not, the Falcons went 2-2 in those games. They are: Week 3: 6-3 win vs. ARZ. Week 5: 17-10 loss to DET. Week 10: 14-10 win at NYG. Week 12: 27-0 loss at TB. All four of these non-playoff teams, made Vick a passer, and effectively pulled the plug on Atlanta’s offense. Vick’s passing numbers in those games: 56% completions, for an average of 135 YPG, with 2 TDs and 4 INT’s. More telling was the 18 sacks (!) and 9 fumbles (!!) in those games that Vick absorbed. Can Philly do the same? Absolutely. Mix in cold/bad weather for a QB that does not take care of the football (Vick had a career high 16 fumbles this year, while being sacked 46 times (second most in the NFL) and I think this one is a walkover for Philly.

    And an excellent point on the Pats vs Steelers game;

    Here’s something to consider. Right after the Steelers beat the Jets, “preview point spreads” offshore had a Steelers-Patriots line at PITT -1.5. Then the Pats shut down Manning and Co. and the line opens NE -3. That’s a 4.5 point “swing” of opinion.

    Although a Cleveland die-hard, I admire Cowher and the Rooney family. My son-in-law is from Philly.
    So I'm with you.
    Everybody will need their thermal undies, both on the field & in the stands.

    I would like to see:
    Falcons and Steelers win

    Expect to see:
    Patriots by 14
    Eagles by 6

    disclaimer: While I dislike the Patriots the thought of Weis getting another SB ring before he goes to ND makes it ok if they do win.

    Eagles and Patriots
    The transformation is complete. The Indy 500 is the only IndyCar race that matters.
