While waiting for my son to get back from an away basketball game, I stepped inside the school to see the last few minutes of the 8th Grade girls game going on. I stepped into the gym and found myself standing next to the Superintendent. Then I looked at the scoreboard. With 2 and a half minutes left, we were ahead 47-3.
I asked the Super, "Is that really the right score?"
I said, "Oh. I thought we had some lights out on the scoreboard."
As I watched, the other team mounted a comeback. Final score was 49-8. That had to be a long bus ride home. . .
