    The Speedway is reporting today

that they are seriously re-looking at the 1982 finish again, some new video evidence has emerged from a recently deceased fan that had some film of Bobby Unser coming out of the pits late in the race.

Mario was heard talking about it from St. Pete where he is watching Marco run his first IPS race.

Can they really do that 20 some years later?

Is there a statute of limitations?

Examine the 1982 race all they want. I am confident that there is no footage of Bobby Unser coming out of the pits.

Kramer: I mean isn't there like statue of limitations on that?

    Jerry: Statute.

    Kramer: What?

Jerry: Statute of limitations. It's not a statue.

    Kramer: No, statue.

Jerry: Fine, it's a sculpture of limitations.

Kramer: Just wait a minute...Elaine, Elaine! Now you're smart, is it statue or statute of limitations?

    Elaine: Statute.

Kramer: Oh, I really think you're wrong.

In response to an earlier statement coming from the Indianapolis Speedway regarding a re-opening of the 1982 Indy 500 finish, 82 winner Bobby Unser is said to be trying to make a statement to the press. Part of the problem is that Unser, 3 time winner of the Indy 500, is not quite sure where he is, as he told this reporter by cell phone earlier today. " Me and my buddies are snowmobiling in the mountains and seemed to have lost our way, but I can assure you, there is no way they are taking back my trophy. This sounds like something Mario is pushing, and I don't appreciate it one bit...." before the line went dead.

And of course, Bobby Unser was not in the 1982 500 Mile Race. He retired after 1981.

IMS is also reporting that the '67 race went 6 laps too long and that Parnelli Jones was actually the winner.

along with some other recently discovered footage that proves that Goodyear never passed the Pace car in 1991.

Yep. He was Garza's "coach" in '82.

He was also the team manager of Josele's effort in 1982.... and Billy Roe was a crew member......

No, in '95 he did pass the pace car - in '91 he didn't (as the footage proves )
