Bloomington results

A 2 day show! Feature over at 12:45 a.m. Dave Darland led the whole race till the last lap. His tire went kapooee, right rear, and Dave slid across the finish line at the checkered....second to Jon Stanbrough, who won. As far as I know. 2 guys I know went to check D.O.'s tape to see. Mat Neely was 3rd, followed by A.J. Anderson and Kevin Briscoe.

Same deal with the modified feature. A last lap pass gave richie Lex the win. they ran the program backwards; the sprints were last. I have to go to work in 5 1/2 hours from now. Luckily it's only a partial day for me. Someone else can dliver my mail for the next week.

Next stop, L'burg.

DO said he looked at the finish twice and Stanbrough won by inches. 90% of what was left of the crowd felt otherwise.

Doesn't matter what they think, when you get down to it. But that turned out to be a close one, blackened track and all. A late one too.

Good way to end the sprint car part of Blomington's 2005.
