Thumbs down I used to like Jimmie Johnson

What a jerk. It was too early in the race to be pulling stunts like that and putting out Sadler, Waltrip, Martin and others. Then they showed his earlier Talledega race where he pulled another bush move.

What really seemed strange was that he told his crew that someone ran into the back of him and that's why he hit Sadler.

Another reason not to like him

That was Junior. The replay clearly showed Junior did not bump Johnson until after Sadler was sideways. Yeah, his actions put Junior out as well.

Just desserts. It looks like Johnson got caught up in the debris of his own making with a left rear flat.

Except that he is still out there running on the lead lap.

    Yeah, and another reason

I was going to say something but just as I got ready to type I see Jimmie Johnson got caught up in another accident that wrecked his front end. Dang! Newman started that one with a bump of Casey Mears.

Looks like he might be out now.

According to the scroll he is only "off" but he isn't going to get very many points. I'm not happy Jeff Gordon is out.

Well. I'll take the blame for hitting him, but it wasn't my fault. What? He's never at fault; just ask him.

Jimmy is a "jerk," Newman is a "nerd," the "tier" was only flat on the bottom. Oh well, that's "racin" at 'Dega.

Jr. has a trick bumper that jumps forward 3 feet, so Jimmie was right.

He certainly doesn't seem to handle Talladega pressure very well; not that many people do of course. But why on earth you would start that stuff so early on is beyond me.

Johnson wrecked alot of cars before they really even got a chance to warm up the seat , but what do I know I was just sitting on the couch watching TV

Junior all but confessed when he said the cars in front of him "just stopped."

    It's called racing.

You don't expect an entire race of follow the leader, do you?

Not at all, but the race was 500 miles. Sometimes a little early discretion goes a long way towards a better finish.

I missed that interview. All I saw was the slow motion footage of just before the accident and no one was in the back of Johnson.

I didn't take Junior's comments as a confession. Neither did the tv crew, who noted that Junior didn't get into Johnson.

Just glad that Kenseth got through ok, since this happened right next to him.

One thing I'll never understand. When Dale Earnhardt used to punt people out of the way, it was fine because he was "The Intimidator" and "Rubbin's Racin". Now when Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman, and Kevin Harvick do it everyone throws a fit.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe Dale ever started a "big one" at a restrictor plate track. I remember him getting hurt in one at Talladega in 1996, but contact between Irvan and ? (can't remember who) started that particular one.

The 42 was blocking like a madman, the 38 had to roll out of it to keep from hitting him.
The closing speed of the 17, 48 & 8 was obvious that the 38 had to slow down to keep off the 42.
Not much the 48 could do.

That's the way I saw it also.

We're not counting his last one? Sadly I put that down to him for changing lanes & losing it.

I remember Dale Sr taking a few drivers out. Marlin got spun (but didn't hit anything or anyone else) in a twin 125 at Daytona and Terry got spun at Bristol that time on the last lap.

I guess the difference is that Dale Sr would pick and choose the times he used the "chrome horn."

Dale Sr didn't just punt cars a few laps into a race and cause a big wreck.

Intentionally hitting another car is never a good thing and I don't condone it. But I don't remember Dale Sr causing massive pile ups.

I like Johnson, and Newman. Earnhardt Sr. was a chump!
    I know what Indy means!

That was a 2 car accident. Not a "big one."
