I had this photo on my computer to post it on another raicng site.
Was cleaing out myPhotobucket site and was just about to delete it but figured Id share it with my fellow geeks here before I did.
this was taken in 1990 at Flemington Speedway in NJ. Last weekend of racing that year, so this was the last sprint car race ever @ Flemington
They paved the joint before the 1991 season . And they pulled the plug entirely 11 years later.
No its a Lowes.
Or a Wal-Mart.
I cant remember, but does it really matter?
On second thought it does fit this thread. No place Id rather be than sitting in those stands and watching 24 sprints fly by throwing dust as high as the lights

This Saturday I'll be at Eldora for the Kings Royal. This will be my 16th Kings Royal.
Nothing like the Outlaws at the Big "E!"

Paul, I'll be west of you across the border at Gas City--again, both Friday and Saturday. No commuting. Will be staying at the best kind of motel a grandpop can have.
Sprint Week starts on Wednesday at Lawrenceburg and continues on Thursday at the reconfigured 3/8 mile high banked track. A bit like a smaller Eldora.

The Dirt Track At Lowes Motor Speedway.
In just one night this joint climbed onto my list of fave short tracks.
If you look over turn 3&4, you can see the new drag strip which created all that controversy last Summer.
Nice place. they missed nothing when the built this place.
I will be back
Not too often Ive said that about any of the dirt tracks in the Carolinas

1st Annual Jalopy Dust Up at the Waihi Dirt Track Club in the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand.
the track looks obscenely unsafe, but that looks like a fun day at a short track
Dirt late models checking in at Worcester Speedway, Western Cape, So Africa
