I was trying to start a new thread and all I kept getting was

I just tried to break out the Indy area players still in tourney to a new thread again after this posted but I still only get

BRAWNDO - THE THIRST MUTILATOR...IT'S GOT WHAT PLANTS CRAVE!
I was having the same issue a few days ago and sent a message to the mods who fixed it for me. However, I think they've blacklisted you. Better watch out.Originally Posted by Matt-OTN

Watching the Xavier - Ohio State game has me thinking about the Indy area players still in the tourney this weekend and getting basically no publicity from the local media.
Yes, everyone knows the chronicles of Oden and Conley at Ohio State, every media has kept up well up to date on them but how about some others??
Justin Cage at Xavier (playing pretty well, wears No. 3) - He played on the undefeated Pike team to win the state title in 2003. He did not get a lot of recognition during the year there as they had no high scoring players and the highest scorer was Robert Vaden. At the end of the year though Cage got named Mr. Basketball in Indiana despite not being considered the best player on his team.
Dan Cage at Vanderbilt - played on Class 3A state champ team at Chatard same year as Pike won 4A. I saw them play a handful of times as a friend of mine coached the team. Cage was to go to another college but the school had issues and facing NCAA sanctions so he was allowed out of his LOI and has been good fit at Vandy.
Stanley Burrell at Xavier - heck I forgot about him until TV announcer just mentioned him from Indianapolis. Played at Ben Davis then went to a prep school. Has put up good numbers at Xavier.
Wesley Clemmons at Southern Illinois. Played at Northwest High School. The top guard off bench for Southern Illinois as a sophomore. He redshirted last year so still has 3 years of eligibility.
David Teague at Purdue - does not get a lot of mention but he is from Pike High School
A.J. Ratliff at IU - out of North Central.
Cage team beat Oden and Conley in state tournment in 2003 when Oden and Conley were frosh
Looks like team with Cage on is going to beat Oden and Conley in tournament again
Spoke too soon, and Cage missed the shot that would have iced itOriginally Posted by Matt-OTN
Same here... maybe too many of us were trying to post about the battle for Ohio.
Oden is a Punk... after that push out I'm glad he's not a Hoosier.![]()
Reminded me of his junior year when I saw him do things like get in the face of a defensive player who had been called for a foul against him and clap. Looked very low class, player about 6 or 8 inches shorter, much physically smaller. Totally without class.Originally Posted by Whosyer-Sparkplug
I think someone talked to him about it because I never saw him do it his senior season
How did they not call that a flagrant foul... this shouldn't even be in overtime. that was nothing but a move out of frustration on Oden part... that guy did nothing but put on the wrong uniform.Originally Posted by Matt-OTN
I agree, was waiting for an official to call it and they didn'tOriginally Posted by Whosyer-Sparkplug
Great thing about Indiana, I turn the TV and there is Eric Gordon hitting a 3 point play and a 3 point shot as NC semistate game just started

Eric Gordon has 19 points in the first quarter - and there is still 1 minute left in first quarter. North Central leads 21-11
North Central leads at end of 1 quarter over Bloomington South 23-11. Eric Gordon with 21

This thread is eerily similar to another new thread that just shut down... we better behave ourselves...![]()

How many does Gordon have now.
Only a great thing if you have cable tv, the same idiots at IHSAA that ruined HS basketball, decided those of us with satellite tv shouldn't be allowed to watch.Originally Posted by Matt-OTN
Bloomington South closes in the second quarter, only 31-24 at half.
Gordon with 25 at half
And on Channel 40 in Indy is the other 4A semistate, East Chicago Central - with Purdue recruit Etwan Moore - against Marion. After Marion opened up with 8-0 lead, ECC scores 13 consecutive for 13-8 lead at end of quarter

You should have realized that going in... after-all Satellite Hamburgers weren't any good either.
Eric Gordon in the third quarter had a drive with an in your face slam but they called Gordon with a charge
It will be on youtube by Monday I suspect
Gordon has 30 at the end of the third quarter
I liked it better when this was called, "New Thread." Now it seems old.
Eric Gordon finishes with 39 points, 13/18 field goals, 5/8 from 3
North Central up 17 when he comes out
Marion is staying close with ECC thanks to a kid named Jay Edwards - he had 10 points in second quarter - I have to admit not sure of relationship to that other Jay Edwards from Marion High School who played at IU but I have seen him referred to as Jay Edwards Jr. in a story
ECC has a tall/thin center named Angel Garcia, haven't seen anything from him to be impressed with. He is projected to be major college prospect
ECC coached by Pete Trgovich
I guess it IS his son, according to ESPN 950 in Indy. Jay Sr. is the same age as me (37). A junior would be 16-17 years old, so Jay must have been 20-21 when he was born.
Hey, snowflakes are falling here in Avon.
East Chicago Central won with Moore getting 25 points
I think he can be penciled in as a starter at Purdue next year, looked very good.
I have seen some at Peegs board question whether IU is recruiting Garcia ... I would be very comfortable with IU not recruiting him. We are talking a major project, he is tall, that's about it. And the ECC crowd looked like they shop at gangs-r-us. I have enough concern about Sampson going into Richmond, CA to get a recruit, ECC might be even more thug life from the look of their crowd today. As soon as the game was over there were police and private security with guns on hips trying to keep the crowd back. It was not a good look.
