Hey Wrench and cleanupcrew:
Thank you for remebering what would have Dick's 82nd birthday.
"My favorite time of the day at the Speedway during the month of May was just after dusk, after the track had closed down for day, I used to go out and sit on the pit wall and just listen and think"~ Dick Ralstin
Recently I had the good fortune to both meet and begin working with a former colleague of Dick Ralstin. His name is Dave Harrison and he worked at Goodyear with Dick for many years. Now we work together at the IMS Museum. His stories help some to fill in the huge gap left by the departure of Mr. Ralstin. I miss his presence here very much.

FWIW- There was a nice writeup on Dick in last Friday's Peru Tribune...Dick was a Peru native and worked for a while in Kokomo at the Morning Times. The article covered his WWII days, his career, and website. It was nice to see....

Remembering Dick Ralstin and the kind things he had to say about my grandfather, Dick McGeorge. Thanks for the memories.
