Mario Marietta Enters Mopar PRI Sprint and Midget Classic in Orlando

Shooting for $50,000 Bonus to Win Both Features


INDIANAPOLIS, IN: Mario Marietta Motorsports is pleased to announce that it will compete in the upcoming Mopar Performance Racing Industry Sprint and Midget Classic presented by DHL at Orlando Speedworld in Orlando, Florida. Mario Marietta will drive a #85 Mopar powered Beast sponsored by First Financial Bank in both the sprint car and midget events scheduled for December 7. Mario will be competing for $135,000 in purse money including the Crane Cams $50,000 bonus for winning both feature events.



“The team is very excited about racing in Orlando. It is always great to visit Florida in the winter plus we have the opportunity to meet with racing industry representatives and team owners at the PRI trade show then go for big money at Orlando Speedworld. We’ve had a couple of strong runs recently at Anderson and Berlin so we should be very competitive”, said Marietta.



Marietta, a native of Clinton, Indiana, has been competing in open wheel racing since 2001. He was named the NAMARS and Indianapolis Speedrome Rookie of the Year in 2003 and finished second in rookie points in the 2004 USAC National Midget series.
